Founded by two food industry veterans, Mustang Custom Foods delivers custom food solutions to growing brands and food service operators. In previous ventures,our founders have worked extensively with contract manufacturers, andunderstand what it is like to be a customer. We are building this business from the ground up to provide meal solutions that fit what today’s consumers demand. Whether it’s artisan sandwiches, meal kits, dietary specific solutions or frozen meal bowls, we work hand-in-hand with our customers to provide the classic standards and the emerging trends in food. With a commitment to seasonal, local ingredients, sustainable packaging and a close eye on trends, we provide both service and support to making sure our customers are always positioned for success.
Our commitment to Food Safety is chief among our priorities. Our 21,000 squarefoot food production facility in Dallas is pursuing an SQF certification to ensure thehighest level of food safety for our customers. We will always value the safety andwholesomeness of our food above all else. Further, we are starting fresh with highcapacity, modern equipment that will maximize efficiency and flexibility.
Brian brings 25 years of innovation, marketing and foodservice executive experience. His background includes senior roles in new product development and brand marketing at YUM! Brands and Coca-Cola Foodservice where he leveraged consumer insights to create products and programs that increased sales and traffic. In 2007 Mr. Twomey created his own restaurant company, under which he created five unique, award-winning restaurant concepts including Dallas staple, The Common Table. In 2013 he and his partners acquired a small food company, successfully grew the business to critical mass and eventually sold to Tyson Foods Inc. Brian Co-Founded SOMMA Foods in 2015 and continues to be a significant shareholder. Brian also serves on the board of Chefs For Farmers. Brian holds a BBA in Finance from Baylor University and an MBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from The Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University.
Blaine is an innovative and experienced entrepreneur and finance and operations executive. After starting his career in finance and management consulting with Accenture, Blaine left to pursue his passion for entrepreneurship. He helped acquire, operate, and sell a category-leading food brand to Tyson Foods, and subsequently helped lead post-acquisition efforts to grow the brand into retail and foodservice channels. Most recently, Blaine co-founded SOMMA Foods in 2015 where he oversaw its Operations and Finance functions. Blaine holds a BBA in Financial Consulting from The Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University.
